Applications Support Senior Analyst, Belfast, Industry leading remuneration package

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global leader in it's field in a dynamic, constantly evolving applications support role. This role will provide 2nd level support to users across the globe using a number of different applications & will provide an excellent opportunity to enhance your already impressive communication & analytical skills in a cutting edge team. You will be responsible for performing root cause analysis, implementation of enhancements as well as managing critical production outages. This is a highly complex business area & as such you will gain an outstanding understanding of the full spectre of its worldwide operations.

Requirements:

Degree educated to 2:1 or 1st class standard in Computer Science or related discipline
A minimum of 3 years previous experience of providing application support
ITIL experience would be advantageous
SQL experience
Outstanding customer support skills
Superb analytical skills & a pro-active problem solver
Well read & knowledgeable regarding the fundamentals of computer science & passionate about software engineering & technology
A real talent to communicate technical information to non-technicals users
Technical knowledge should include Unix, Sybase, Oracle, Java, Perl & C
